From Darkness to Deliverance: My Journey of Redemption

There was a time in my life when I truly lost everything.
But what I’ve come to realize is that I had to lose everything… to gain everything.

My story is one of heartbreak, survival, and ultimately, transformation. I’ve walked through domestic violence, addiction, and the long shadow of generational trauma. I know what it feels like to be trapped, to go back to what’s familiar even when it’s harmful, and to wonder if freedom will ever come. But I also know the power of God’s mercy because He met me in my darkest places and led me out.

When I left my marriage and found myself in a domestic violence shelter, I didn’t know what was next. I had no money, no home, and very little hope. But the Father opened the doors wide open. He said, It’s time to be free. That began a new chapter in my life. A time of unlearning lies, facing my past, and rediscovering who I really am.

In that season, the Father began to show me the Hebrew roots of my faith, the depth and truth of His Word. He brought healing where there had been shame, and deliverance where there had been bondage. There were moments of deep encounter, moments I can only describe as supernatural, when He reminded me, "You are mine." I have called you by name.

Through that process, He restored my purpose. I began writing, speaking, and sharing again. He gave me a voice to help others find healing through Healing for the Nations with a Modern-Day Samaritan Woman, the radio program He called me to start. Later, He led me to create the Good Samaritan Women’s Retreats — safe spaces for women to take off the mask, learn about trauma, and experience real healing in the presence of God.

I share my story because I know what it’s like to feel hopeless, ashamed, or alone.
But I also know that we serve a God who redeems.

If He can restore me from addiction, abuse, and despair, He can restore anyone.
So, to my brothers and sisters walking through your own valleys: keep going.
You’re not alone. You’re not too far gone. And your story isn’t over yet.

Watch my full testimony below. I pray it brings hope, healing, and the courage to keep running your race.
